BATON ROUGE, La – eQHealth Solutions, a leader in population health management for both government and commercial clients, announced that Dr. Karen A. Goldberg, M.D. has been selected as its new Florida State Medical Director of Behavioral Health Services and joined the organization on November 5, 2018.
Dr. Goldberg is a graduate of The Medical College of Pennsylvania. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Appointed by the Governor of the State of Florida, Dr. Goldberg is also the current Chair of the Florida Coordinating Council for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing.
Prior to joining eQHealth, Dr. Goldberg served in a variety of professional appointments at the University of South Florida from 2009 to 2018. Most recently, she was an Associate Professor of Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry at the Morsani College of Medicine (MCOM), Attending Psychiatrist at the Silver Child Development Center, coordinator for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Clinical Services, Neuropsychiatry Clerkship Preceptor, MCOM, among other appointments. Earlier in her career, Dr. Goldberg was the Associate Medical Director at the National Deaf Academy Psychiatric Residential Center, Medical Director for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Program at the Tampa Bay Academy Psychiatric Residential Treatment Center and Director of Impatient Child/Adolescent Psychiatry at Howard County General Hospital/Johns Hopkins Medicine.

In her new role, Dr. Goldberg will provide leadership to eQHealth’s Behavioral Analytics Clinical Review Team and will serve on the Agency For Health Care Administration (AHCA) Advisory Panel providing recommendations and updates to clinical policy.
