Clinical Integration Framework

The eQSuite® Clinical Integration Framework (CIF) Technology provides secure, clinical integration between disparate healthcare stakeholders through a SaaS, cloud-based platform. The CIF module delivers core clinical functionality without redundant features that typically reside within meaningful use EMRs and practice management systems, such as ePrescribing, appointment scheduling and physician order entry.

  • Develops a connected landscape across all healthcare stakeholders and care settings.
  • Ingests, parses and sorts real-time data to create a longitudinal patient record.
  • Increases point of care operational efficiency providing prompts and alerts within a physician’s workflow at the point of care highlighting needed interventions and gaps in care.
  • Supports and enables direct messaging to send authenticated, encrypted health information directly to known, trusted recipients over the Internet.

  • Dimensional database stores complete records and files.
  • The relational database stores parsed or extracted data in an easy to digest format to view a complete patient record.

Clinical Document Repository

Stores and shares clinical records of all types based on the Cross-Enterprise Document Sharing (XDS.b) protocol.

  • Variety of file types including (ADT, CCD, CCR, Labs, XML, CSV, physician notes).
  • Stores medical records including medication lists, problem and known allergy lists.
  • IHE compliant.

Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI)

Uses deterministic and probabilistic matching algorithms supporting a unique patient identifier for each domain and patient “linking” of disparate patient records, both automatic and manual.

  • One source of truth - a complete patient medical record at the point-of-care.
  • Fast search service for patient information. High quality data and consistency.

Provider Portal

Ensures that clinicians have the health care information they need to make better and more informed decisions to drive improved patient care. Provided with a longitudinal clinical patient record at the point-of-care, the physician portal provides a unified environment with secure messaging, clinical notes, laboratory reports and test results for improved health information exchange.

  • Enables patient search functionality and serves up a single source of truth for all your patients’ records.
  • Clinical decision support provides the right information at the right time and place to support clinical decision making including gaps in care.
  • Prompts and alerts are provided within the physician’s normal workflow at the point-of-care.

Clinical Integration Framework Security

Adheres to the HITRUST compliance security framework (CSF) for structure, detail and clarity relating to information security tailored to the healthcare industry. eQHealth’s eQSuite® CIF Technology is governed by three areas of security policy and practice related to confidentiality (secrecy), integrity (data management) and availability (a tier 4 data center, guaranteeing 99.995% up-time).  The following additional steps are in place to provide the highest levels of security for eQHealth’s network, our clients and the personal health information of the patients our clients serve.

  • Defense in Depth - multiple layers of security controls are placed throughout the platform to provide redundancy in the event a security control fails or vulnerability is exploited. Data is encrypted for maximum safety at rest, in transition and via Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) as it is viewed in a browser.
  • Vulnerability Management – cyclical and routine IT system management is practiced to identify, classify, remediate and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Information Security Operations Center (ISOC) – dedicated site where enterprise information systems including databases, data centers, servers, networks, websites, personal computers and other endpoints are monitored, assessed and defended, 24/7, 365 days a year.
